Asgard’s Wrath 2 is available now.
It is the sequel to Asgard’s Wrath, which released for the Oculus Rift on October 10th, 2019. While the previous game required you to be hooked up to a PC to play it on a Meta Quest, the new game is a native application. It can be enjoyed by anyone with a Meta Quest 2, 3, or Pro.
Asgard’s Wrath 2 can be redeemed for free if you purchase and activate a Meta Quest 3 before February 9th, 2024. Otherwise, it will set you back $59.99. This currently makes it the most expensive game on the Quest platform, with Arizona Sunshine 2 coming in second at $49.99.
While some may balk at the high price for the game, it is estimated that the game contains over 130 hours of gameplay if you complete every quest and side quest. So, there is certainly some value to be had, even at this price.
More importantly than game length, when determining the value of a game, is how fun the game is. Based on reviews from OpenCritic.com, it looks like it is quite excellent. Currently Asgard’s Wrath 2 has a combined score of 93% on OpenCritc, which makes it the highest rated game on the Meta Quest platform.
